Description
Suya is a wildly popular West African street food, originating from the Hausa people of Nigeria. It consists of thinly sliced beef that is marinated in a potent blend of ground peanuts, ginger, garlic, paprika, and other spices known as Yaji or Suya spice. The meat is then skewered and grilled over an open flame, resulting in a smoky, spicy, and slightly nutty exterior with a juicy and tender interior.
It is typically served with slices of raw onions, tomatoes, and roasted plantains, making it a perfect blend of smoky, spicy, and sweet flavors that is utterly addictive.
Ingredients: Beef slices, Suya spice (ground peanuts, ginger, paprika, etc.), onions, roasted plantains.
